Why I design

I design to make life easier.

When I was younger, seeing my family struggle to use everyday items like their mobile phone or dial-up modem helped me understand the significance of designing for the end user.

People want their lives to be easier when interacting with products and I believe there's great value in that. Designing products to be simple, user-oriented, and easy to use is my way of making the world a better place.

What I love about design

Being challenged by constraints, considering different ideas, and bringing them to life.

Being challenged by technical and time constraints makes finding solutions more fun and engaging.
Working with other creative minds and building on each other's ideas, understanding other people's perspectives on problems.
When I know I've made a positive impact on people's lives, whether it be the internal team's or the end user.
That feeling of deep satisfaction you get when something you helped create brings value to businesses and joy to people.

Beyond Design

When i'm not designing...

🧑‍🎓 I like to learn new skills related to design (right now I'm learning React Native).
🌲I like to forage baby pine cones and make pine cone jam! Here's my favorite recipe.
🏌️I gather some friends, and head to the driving range to golf. (Still a newbie)
🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ I'm caring for my two cats, Loafie and UFO. (They're a handful)
🤸🏃I do calisthenics and jogging. (Doing a sub-hour 10k in April)
🎙️ Watch podcasts and video essays. (I really like Andrew Huberman)
